The installation  Fragments by the Milky Way / 2003

I have been working with installations since 1980; focusing my research   on the different aspects concerning the evolution of the human mind, especially on the interconnectedness of matter and mind. I have based my studies on Eastern and Western philosophy as well as on the latest discoveries in contemporary physics and biology.

My goal has been - and still is - to create spatial art where the viewer would become a part of the installation´s ”state of mind”.

I´m emphazising a holistic view in my work, in which each individual sees and understands her or his way as a part of a greater whole, being the evidence of a researcher´s  journey into the mysteries of life.

The installation Fragments by the Milky Way is a continual part to the installation the Ephemeral Garden shown at studio Mezzo in 2000. In the previous work I studied how the invisible, intuitional, receives its manifestations in the visible realm, being reflected both in us and in our environment, changing  both at the same time.

The trees in my works are symbolizing both our organical origins, the energy involved, and our collective consciousness. The present installation continues on the previous thesis and  asks in addition: Do we create our world by perceiving it?

The installation is consisting of two light-sequences with a duration of ca.10minutes.
